Darren Criss, who plays Blaine Anderson on Glee, is ditching the hair gel and taking his act on the road.
The actor and singer has announced his first-ever solo tour, kicking off May 29 in his hometown of San Francisco and wrapping up June 30 in Maryland. It's called The Listen Up! tour, Darren says, because he plans to preview material from his forthcoming solo album and he wants everyone to listen. He'll also perform songs from his 2009 EP, Human.
The public on-sale date for tickets is April 27 at 10 a.m. local time but fans can get in on a pre-sale this Thursday -- visit Facebook.com/DarrenCriss for more information on that.
In a statement, Darren says, "I couldn't think of a better way to spend the summer than being on the road and doing live shows...it's a real opportunity for me to connect with all the people who’ve supported me through the years, as well as a chance to get new folks excited. It's gonna be a party for everyone!"
And sorry, Glee fans: Kurt is not the opening act.
