Carrie Underwood's "See You Again" Has Cinematic Inspiration

Arista NashvilleCarrie Underwood's latest single, "See You Again," dates back to 2010 when she was writing songs for the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  Carrie and her co-writers ended up writing the song she recorded for the film, "There's a Place for Us," in the same writing sessions that produced "See You Again."  The inspirational message of the movie seemingly inspired the hopeful lyrics of "See You Again," which appear to deal with seeing a loved one again after death in heaven.

Carrie tells Billboard, "I definitely do associate 'See You Again' with the afterlife, but it can kind of be whatever you need it to be."

The overall feel of "See You Again" trumps the serious subject matter of the song for Carrie though.

She says, "It feels inspired.  Even if you are dealing with death or a subject matter, it still feels like there's something positive."

"See You Again" is the fourth single from Carrie's Blown Away album.
