Former Voice coach Cee Lo Green will return to the NBC singing competition next week. He won’t be sitting in his usual revolving chair, though -- he’s set to be a musical guest on The Voice on May 8, along with Rod Stewart.
Cee Lo, who recently closed out the first run of his Las Vegas show Loberace, will be hitting The Voice stage for a performance of "Only You" off his upcoming album Girl Power. The disc is due out later this year.
Cee Lo and Christina Aguilera are both on hiatus from The Voice after starring on the show’s first three seasons. Usher and Shakira are filling in for them.
Rod will perform an as-yet-unannounced song from his upcoming album, Time, due out May 7.
On May 14, Lady Antebellum will perform on The Voice. That’s not a surprise, since its lead female singer, Hillary Scott, served as a mentor for Adam Levine’s team this season. Another Voice mentor, Pharrell Williams, as well as Robin Thicke and rapper T.I., will also appear on the show that night.
