Mick Jagger Hints at Some of The Rolling Stones' Plans for Their Upcoming Tour

Universal Music GroupThe Rolling Stones launch a new North American leg of their 50 & Counting Tour on an as-yet-unannounced date at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  So far, only nine shows have been confirmed, with the trek set to wind down June 18 in Philadelphia.  Few details have been revealed about the upcoming gigs, although new comments from Mick Jagger seem to offer hints about some potential aspects of the concerts.

Speaking about whether The Stones intended to vary the songs they performed at each stop, the singer says, "I daresay we'll change [the set list] around…Especially if you do multiple shows in the city, it'll be changed from night to night."

The remark also seems to suggest that the band may be planning to schedule additional concerts in certain locations.

Concertgoers also likely will get to see various guest stars join The Stones at each show, like they did at the handful of concerts the band played back in late 2012.  Says Jagger, "Hopefully the guests, if we get them, will be different from night to night."  One guest musician who already has been revealed is ex-Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, who'll been joining the band throughout the entire outing.

With regards to what fans can expect to hear at the shows, Mick says the sets will offer "a good mixture" of tunes, including "well-known songs," "lesser-known songs" and "some newer ones."

The singer maintains that he and his band mates don't have too much trouble preparing a wide selection of songs to play live.

"When you get back together again, you had so many years of experience that it's very easy to restart…You don't have to learn very much," he says. "[With] the communication between me and Charlie [Watts] and Keith [Richards] and Ronnie [Wood], it's really quite easy.  Even though it's tricky trying to do a strange, out-of-the-way song, most of the songs come back to you very quickly."
