The Goo Goo Dolls have premiered the video for their song "Rebel Beat," the first single from their upcoming album Magnetic. Previously announced with a May 7 release date, the album will now arrive in stores June 11.
In the video, the guys are seen rocking out in the midst of a family-friendly street party filled with hula-hooping hipsters, chillaxing seniors and dancing toddlers. Love and good times are in the air as front man Johnny Rzeznik strums his guitar and strolls through a crowd that includes bassist Robby Takac. Drummer Mike Malinin looks over the scene from a nearby fire escape and jams on an upside down bucket before joining the street-level party with a real drum kit.
On May 7, fans can look forward to the Goo Goo Dolls' performance of "Rebel Beat" on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. Later this summer, as previously reported, the band will co-headline a North American tour with Matchbox Twenty, which kicks off on June 25 in Manchester, New Hampshire and wraps up August 18 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
