Normally, a band announces the kickoff date of a tour and then fills in the rest -- but the Rolling Stones aren't just any band. After announcing their 50 and Counting tour schedule last week, Mick Jagger and the lads have now decided on an official launch date: May 2 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Be warned, though, that the date is still subject to change due to the NBA/NHL playoff schedule, but let's go with it for now. Tickets go on sale for the L.A. show, as well as for shows in Anaheim, Boston and Philadelphia, this Monday, April 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi® cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
As previously reported, the Stones are also performing in Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, Toronto, Chicago and Boston. A variety of ticket prices are available, including many at $85 -- even in the ultra-exclusive "Tongue Pit" section. Those $85 tickets will be sold in pairs, and you won't know where they're located until you pick them up.
