Whitesnake Releasing New Two-CD Set Featuring Performances from Band's 2011 World Tour

Frontiers RecordsWhitesnake will release a new two-CD concert album this summer that gathers together 25 performances from the pop-metal band's massive 2011 tour in support of their Forevermore album.  Made in Britain – The World Record is due out on July 9, and includes live renditions of such Whitesnake classics as "Here I Go Again," "Still of the Night" and "Is This Love," as well as selections from the group's latest studio effort and much more.

As its title suggests, Made in Britain – The World Record is broken into two parts.  The first disc contains performances from a series of nine sold-out 2011 concerts Whitesnake played in its U.K. homeland.  The second CD features tunes recorded at the band's stops in other parts of the globe.  Compiling the new collection was no easy task, as the band recorded all 96 shows on the trek.

Made in Britain – The World Record comes on the heels of Whitesnake's Made in Japan CD, DVD and Blu-ray releases, which hit stores last month and was recorded during the same tour.

Meanwhile, Whitesnake is about to kick off a new European outing, starting with series of U.K. dates that gets under way Thursday in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
