Steven Adler will be spending his summer in rehab. His new band, Adler, has just posted a message on their website saying that their upcoming tour dates have been postponed so the former Guns N’ Roses drummer can get treatment for substance abuse.
“We regret to inform everyone that the summer tour and European tour has been postponed,” wrote the band in a joint statement. “Steven has checked into an undisclosed rehabilitation center to continue working on his sobriety. We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding. We hope to make the dates up soon.”
Adler has a long history of struggling with substance abuse. His addiction to heroin prompted Guns N’ Roses to dismiss him from the band in 1990.
