Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is the latest pop star to document his personal life in a reality show. Deadline.com reports that the singer is executive-producing and starring in the series with his fiancee, Lauren Kitt.
According to Deadline, the half-hour series will "chronicle [Nick's] life as he tries to make amends with his past and prepare for his upcoming nuptials." It's currently being shopped around; Deadline reports that several cable networks are showing interest.
This won't be Nick's first reality series: he and his siblings starred in the E! show House of Carters in 2006. Leslie, one of his sisters who was featured on the show, died in 2012, reportedly from an overdose of prescription medication. Nick has publicly discussed his own struggles with drugs and alcohol.
Nick, the only remaining bachelor in the Backstreet Boys, got engaged to Lauren, an actress and fitness expert, back in February. There's no word on when their wedding will take place, since the group is heading out on a massive tour in August. Their new album, In a World Like This, is out July 30; the first single is the title track and that's coming June 25.
