Prince Releases Video for New Single "Fixurlifeup"

Vince Bucci/STARTRAKS PHOTO via ABCPrince has released a video for his new single "Fixurlifeup" that's streaming now on Vevo.  The clip features images of the politically charged lyrics floating over footage of Prince performing the song with the female trio 3rd Eye Girl; in fact, the video is credited to "3rd Eye Girl featuring Prince."  Prince and the trio performed the song at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19.  The video also intercuts live footage shot in San Diego on the Live Out Loud tour.

The single is Prince's first release with the Kobalt Music Group.  As previously reported, as part of his deal with Kobalt, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will release not only his own music but also work from a roster of new acts.  In addition, he'll also provide artist development and recording services to newly signed performers. 

According to, Prince's upcoming album has the working title Plectrum Electrum.
