While it's not clear exactly why he was on Taylor Swift's property, a man arrested for trespassing near her Rhode Island mansion has pleaded "no contest" in court Friday.
Twenty-two-year-old Lucas Vorsteveld was arrested May 15 at 2:15 in the morning after he swam to a private road near the mansion, which Taylor recently purchased for over 17 million bucks, reportedly in cash. He pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge of trespassing. The judge said the charge would be dismissed if he stays out of trouble, and steers clear of the property, which doesn't actually belong to Taylor.
Outside the court, Vorsteveld had no reply when asked by reporters if he owed Taylor an apology.
Taylor was probably not at the house during the incident, considering she's currently on tour -- she performed May 12 in Washington and May 16 in Houston, Texas.
