Kinks Guitarist Dave Davies Premieres New Video, "Little Green Amp"

Ian Heath/MetaMediaFounding Kinks guitarist Dave Davies is returning to action with a brand-new solo album, I Will Be Me, which he's supporting with a new series of U.S. tour dates.  In addition, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has just debuted a new video for the album's lead track, "Little Green Amp."

The tune pays homage to the small guitar amplifier whose speaker cone Davies famously sliced with a razor blade in order to get the distorted sound heard on such hard-rocking early Kinks classics as "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night."

The clip features a montage of footage of various locations in and around London, with Dave popping up in many of the segments.  The video also utilizes some special effects to incorporate vintage photos and clips of the guitarist into various scenes.  Davies recorded "Little Green Amp" with the Pittsburgh-based punk group Anti-Flag, one of several guest artists featured on the album.

The 66-year-old rocker's tour kicks off with a three-night engagement at the City Winery in New York City that begins Monday.  The outing is scheduled through a June 11 concert in Del Mar, California.  I Will Be Me will officially be released on June 4.
