Carrie Underwood Celebrates Opry Anniversary with Special Show

John Russell/CMAFans headed to Nashville for CMA Music Festival this summer now have a little something more to look forward to. Carrie Underwood will celebrate five years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry with a special performance on Friday, June 7.

Garth Brooks welcomed the American Idol winner into the Opry family in May of 2008.  Opry manager Pete Fisher says it's a commitment Carrie takes seriously.

"It's been exciting to see Carrie experience career success after success, all the while returning often to the Opry stage to thrill audiences here," he reflects.

The country superstar will close the night's show with a special segment, and the Opry will also offer exclusive "fan zone" seating and a commemorative t-shirt.  Regular tickets are available now, with the special items going on sale Monday, May 6.

Carrie wraps up the week with her CMA Music Festival performance at LP Field on Sunday, June 9.
