Graham Nash will be among the luminaries presented with honorary degrees on May 18 during the 2013 commencement ceremonies for undergraduate students Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The festivities will take at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston.
Nash will receive his degree along with Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree David McCullough. Both men also will address the graduating students. In addition, honorary degrees will be bestowed on former Massachusetts Secretary of Education Paul Reville and Emmy Award-winning journalist Reverend Liz Walker, who will speak to post-graduate students at a ceremony held earlier in the day.
"In markedly different ways, each of this year’s Honorary Degree recipients exemplifies the values that define a Lesley education: enhancing our culture through multifaceted arts and academics, building stronger communities and schools, and a passion for public service," says the university's president, Joseph B. Moore, in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming these accomplished individuals as they share their experiences with our graduates."
Graham will accept his honor during an off day on Crosby, Stills & Nash's recently launched U.S. tour. Visit CrosbyStillsNash.com to check out all of the famed trio's upcoming dates.
