Aerosmith will rock New York City this summer when they headline a new festival organized by the LivingSocial website. LivingSocial's Backyard Festival will take place on Randall's Island on Saturday, July 13, and will feature a variety of music acts, as well as fine foods, craft beer and wine, games and other activities.
In addition to Aerosmith, the event's lineup includes Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, modern-rockers Yeasayer and a number of as-yet unannounced groups. The fest also will offer bocce ball, slides, see-saws, photo booths, art and crafts, swing sets, Giant Twister and much more.
"This is the summer backyard party to end all backyard parties," says LivingSocial CEO Tim O'Shaughnessy in a statement. "When the weather gets hot, Americans have always gathered with friends in their yards to listen to great music, eat great food, share cold beers, and create lifelong memories. LivingSocial's Backyard Festival will propel that beloved summer ritual to the next level with legendary bands, world-class cuisine, top-shelf wine and beer, and games for all ages."
Tickets for the Backyard Festival are available now at LivingSocial.com. Prices start at $89 for general admission and run up to $999 for Ultra VIP Passes that offer attendees round-trip ferry passes, express check-in, access to exclusive VIP areas, and complimentary food, beer and wine.
