Hall & Oates on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Diss: "It's a Bunch of Old Guys!"

Mick Rock/Wolfson EntertainmentDaryl Hall and John Oates marked their 40th anniversary as a duo last year, which means they've literally been eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for more than a decade.  While their fans have been clamoring for the duo's induction, Daryl and John say, frankly, they don't give a damn.

Asked by Fuse if they care that they're not in the Hall of Fame, Hall laughed, "No! I don't consider it that much credit.  It's a bunch of old guys!"  Oates added, "It's a good feeling when people think we deserve it.  And most people think we're already in it so, really, what does it matter?"

But that's not to say that Hall & Oates aren't appreciative of the fact that their fans would really love to see them receive the honor.

"Don't think that we deserve the recognition or care about that," Hall says, addressing the fans.  "We have all the recognition we want in life!  And we love our fans and we love their support, but don't feel bad for us, I promise you!"

The duo have a string of concerts booked for later this month and June, and additional dates scheduled for August.
