Florida Georgia Line Rely on Family and Friends to Stay Grounded

Republic NashvilleFlorida Georgia Line's career is on fire right now, which means the duo's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are constantly on the move performing concerts and making big TV appearances. That traveling life can get lonely and frantic, but the guys have some friends and family in their corner that help keep their heads on straight.

"We got some close friends that when we can, we try to get away and hang out with and just kinda remember how it used to be," Tyler says. "A lot of it has to do with our family as well. I mean, my cousins. I'll go to Alabama and hang out with them and kind of get away, and stuff like that."

Of course, taking their own advice and cruising in their trucks or motorcycles while listening to some music is therapeutic too.

Tyler explains, "Just doing our thing kinda keeps us grounded. It's definitely not always easy, but taking some time to yourself and doing your thing, whatever that is, is kind of the key that we've found."

Florida Georgia Line cruises into Grand Junction, CO for a show Friday night.
