R.E.M. Lyrics Featured in New Jay-Z Song

Photo: Anton CorbjinIt appears that Jay-Z is a big fan of '90s rock.  The rapper has just revealed that his new song "Heaven" will feature the chorus of R.E.M.'s 1991 hit "Losing My Religion."

A lyric sheet for the as-yet-unreleased song includes the lines, "That's me in the corner/That's me in the spotlight/Losing my religion."

This isn't the only '90s rock classic that Jay-Z is borrowing from for his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.  As previously reported, the hip-hop star's new song "Holy Grail" will include references to the chorus of Nirvana's 1991 chart-topper "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

You'll get your chance to hear what Jay-Z does with the songs when Magna Carta Holy Grail arrives in stores on July 4.
