Kenny Rogers has been touring the world for decades now, so there aren't many firsts left for him at this point in his career. That's why he's so excited about making his debut at the U.K.'s celebrated Glastonbury Festival this Sunday. Rogers also has been warned about the typically wet weather conditions at the event.
In an interview with London's Telegraph newspaper, the 74-year-old singer says, "I have heard all about the mud and have lost count of the number of people who tell me that it will be the wettest place I have ever encountered. But it's such an exciting gathering of music."
Kenny also is hoping to catch The Rolling Stones' performance at Glastonbury on Saturday night. He admits, "I have never heard them play live."
Rogers will be formally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall in Nashville.
