Pearl Jam hasn't done very much touring in the last few years, but with a new album heading our way, guitarist Stone Gossard says the guys may hit the road a little harder than they have in the past.
"We've gotten very good at knowing how much we want to tour and finding an amount that keeps us healthy and happy," he tells Consequence of Sound. "There will be a record out soonish, it's almost done, and I'm sure there will be more touring coming in the next year."
Gossard adds that as long as everyone in the band is enjoying being on the road, you can expect the guys to keep scheduling more tour dates. "Such an enormous part of our band is playing live and going on the road, but luckily we can make the choice to not do it so much that it kills us," he explains. "If we have good shows and people feel something from those shows, it's because we don't feel like we're chained to this thing...we're enjoying it with the audience."
As of now, Pearl Jam only has two tour dates left on their calendar this year. The band will be playing sold-out shows at Budweiser Gardens in London, Canada, on July 16 and at Wrigley Field -- the home of the Chicago Cubs -- on July 19.
