Neil Young & Crazy Horse have scheduled a special concert that will take place September 2 at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The 1,800-seat theater is among the smallest venues at which the influential rockers have performed in many years.
Serving as the opening act for the show are Patti Smith and her band, who also supported Young & Crazy Horse for part of their 2012 fall tour. In addition, Smith will open for Neil and company two days later at Canada's Ottawa Folk Festival.
Tickets for the Port Chester concert go on sale Friday at 12 p.m. ET via TheCapitolTheatre.com.
Next up for Young & Crazy Horse will be a new European tour leg that gets under way July 11 in Luxembourg and runs through an August 17 show at London's O2 Arena. The band has only a handful of confirmed North American appearances lined up for the late summer.
Here are all of Young & Crazy Horse's scheduled North American dates:
8/31 -- Dundas, Canada, Greenbelt Harvest Picnic - Christie Lake Conservation Area
9/2 -- Port Chester, NY, The Capitol Theatre
9/4 -- Ottawa, Canada, Ottawa Folk Festival - Hog's Back Park
9/7 -- Arrington, VA, Interlocken Music Festival - Oak Ridge Farm
