Lou Reed, who underwent a liver transplant just a few weeks ago, suffered a health scare on Sunday that temporarily landed him back in the hospital. According to the New York Post, the influential rocker was taken from his residence in East Hampton, New York, to a nearby medical facility early that morning after an emergency call was placed reporting a man suffering from dehydration.
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that the 71-year-old musician felt nauseous and vomited a number of times before he was taken to an emergency room. Sources tell the website that Reed was treated and released, and is now doing fine.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer made his first post-transplant appearance on June 20, when he took part in a Q&A event at France's Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Reed had the operation in May at a Cleveland clinic.
