A new photo book is in the works that will feature a variety of the world's biggest music stars paying special homage to Elvis Presley.
Shades of Elvis is a collaboration between photographer Christopher Ameruoso and Presley's widow, Priscilla, and will boast new images of celebrities wearing a pair of famous sunglasses that belonged to the late King of Rock 'n' Roll.
Among the famed music artists Ameruoso has captured with the shades are Robert Plant, Elton John, Tom Jones, Steven Tyler, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Kiss' Gene Simmons and Sammy Hagar. According to the photographer's official blog, Shades of Elvis will be published in late November of this year, and will include more than 70 celebrities donning the glasses.
Ameruoso has been posting updates about the various luminaries he's been photographing for the project since he started it in early 2012. One of his most recent subjects was Plant, whom, he writes, "was just a wonderful person to work with." Ameruoso also reveals that the Led Zeppelin legend has hired him to shoot his upcoming album cover, as well as his new promotional photos.
Among the other celebs that have been snapped for Shades of Elvis are Johnny Depp, Billy Ray Cyrus, director Tim Burton, Peter Fonda, Carmen Electra and John Stamos.
