The CMA is heading up a massive effort to get fans to sign a digital get well card for ailing country legend Randy Travis. The singer is recovering from idiopathic cardiomyopathy and a subsequent stroke. He remains in critical condition at a Texas hospital and doctors expect him to face months of recovery.
In an effort to keep Travis encouraged on his road to recovery, more than 6,800 fans have signed the digital get well card in less than 24 hours. It's now live at CMAWorld.com/RandyTravis, and each message will be posted on the final card once it is sent to Travis.
Travis's fiancée Mary Davis is grateful for fans' support during this ordeal. She says, "I know that Randy will be so touched by that when he understands the magnitude of it all."
