Great White, Ex-Frontman Jack Russell Settle Legal Dispute over Band's Name

Facebook.com/GreatWhiteOfficial; EberlyPhoto.com'80s metal rockers Great White and the group's original frontman, Jack Russell, have reached an agreement in the legal battle over the usage of the band's name.  The singer sued his former band mates Audie Desbrow, Mark Kendall and Michael Lardie in March 2012, after they kept performing under the moniker when Russell took a hiatus from the group because of medical issues.

The band members then launched a countersuit against Russell, leading to an ongoing litigious feud.  The two parties finally came to a settlement after spending three days of negotiation overseen by U.S. Magistrate Judge Carla Woehrle.

As part of the arrangement, Russell's current group will use the name Jack Russell's Great White, while the other members' band will bill themselves, simply, as Great White.

Jack Russell's Great White and Great White both have a slew of upcoming North American tour dates on their schedules.  You can check out their respective itineraries at GreatWhiteRocks.com and JacksGreatWhite.com.
