The Doors' Robby Krieger Maps Out US Summer Tour with Solo Band

RobbyKriegersJamKitchen.comFounding Doors guitarist Robby Krieger has been amassing dates for a late summer tour of the U.S. with his solo group Robby Krieger's Jam Kitchen.  The band's itinerary currently is slated to kick off with an August 9 appearance at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Music Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota.  The event is one of a series of shows held in conjunction with the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Krieger and his group's trek currently is plotted out through a September 1 concert in Orlando, Florida, and also includes stops in Chicago, Boston and New York City.

Jam Kitchen features two musicians who performed and recorded with the late Frank Zappa -- bassist Arthur Barrow and keyboardist Tommy Mars.  The lineup also includes ex-War saxophonist Larry Klimas and veteran jazz drummer Tom Brechtlein.
