Elton John has been singing for decades that "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," but according to a new report, he may also be doing some actual fighting...on the silver screen. He's apparently being considered for a role in a big fight scene in an upcoming movie.
The U.K. tabloid The Sun claims that British director Matthew Vaughn wants to cast John in a new movie he's working on called The Secret Service. Apparently, Vaughn wants Elton to be part of a huge brawl in the flick, which is based on a comic book miniseries and is due out in theaters in November of 2014.
"The Secret Service is going to be a big British movie so Matthew wants to include some iconic British stars," a source tells the paper. "He wants to turn the films into a franchise, so getting big names on board will help boost its profile. Seeing Elton fighting will be movie gold. He's a great addition."
The movie already stars British Oscar winners Colin Firth and Sir Michael Caine, and concerns a scruffy young kid who's trained to be a James Bond-like spy.
