James Blunt Returns with New Single, "Bonfire Heart"; New Album Due in November is back.  James Blunt, who topped the charts with his smash hit "Beautiful" back in 2006, has returned with a new single titled "Bonfire Heart," which was co-written and produced by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.   You can hear it now on Soundcloud or see the lyric video on YouTube.

In an email to fans, James says of the single, "The song is about love, life, fear and hope…and more than anything, you and me."  It's the first release from James' new album, Moon Landing, which will arrive November 5.  It was produced by Tom Rothrock, who worked on James' breakthrough album, Back to Bedlam.  "This is a much more personal album, and also quite back to basics," says James in a statement.  "It's about me and Tom, the producer, finding where the story all started and where we are now."

He adds, "It's an album about dreams, longing, first love. About looking in the mirror and seeing the boy you were, the man you are -- and learning to be comfortable with that, flaws and all. About getting back to basics and rediscovering the power of music to communicate emotion directly and honestly, without too much polish or complication."

Though James hasn't as yet been able to follow up the success of "You're Beautiful" in the U.S., "Bonfire Heart" could change that.  It's got the same organic, strumming feel that's recently sent Phillip Phillips and Mumford & Sons to the top of the charts.
