Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" now holds the record for the longest stretch at #1 in the history of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. The track had been tied with three other songs, matching their 21-week runs at the top last week, but now "Cruise" has beaten them all logging its 22nd week at #1.
Of note, the other songs that hit the 21-week mark were all released in the '40s and '50s. "Cruise" was able to hit this record after the Hot Country Songs chart was changed last fall to include data from digital sales and streaming along with radio airplay figures.
Florida Georgia Line's full-length project, Here's to the Good Times, retains the top spot on Billboard's Country Albums chart this week.
