Its a rare citing to see Jay-Z's Twitter handle to pop up on your timeline, its even more uncommon for the rap mogul to engage in conversation with any of his 2.6 million followers.
Nonetheless that's exactly what occurred all day on Monday when Hov answered random questions from fans and even tweeted about his latest album, Maga Carta Holy Grail -- which became a trending topic on the social networking site.
After many assumed his account might have been hacked, many wanted to know who was tweeting on his behalf to which responded with, "Well I am of course...facts only."
When asked about his favorite cereal, Jay shared, "Cap'n crunch growing up. I haven't had cereal in a bit #factsonly." He also offered his opinion that the Miley Cyrus twerk replace the electric slide at weddings and he even joked that the Illuminati helped prevent the album from leaking.
Then someone asked about how he felt changing the RIAA rules, which prompted him to respond, "It was an old rule that didn't factor in digital."
While some of his responses were short and fun, he took criticism for the album and made an announcement specifically aimed at the media, "Any interview requests please refer to THIS session."
There's no denying Jay's impact on social media. Twitter told Mashable that so far, "Jay-Z" and "Magna Carta Holy Grail" have been mentioned nearly half a million times on Twitter since the album premiered.
