Any member of a touring band will tell you it takes some effort to maintain good relationships with your band mates. That relationship gets even more complicated when your band mates are also your siblings. The Band Perry's Reid Perry tells Illinois' State Journal-Register he and his brother Neil and sister Kimberly have learned communication is key to keeping their business and personal relationships afloat.
Reid says, "It is the family business...even when it comes to giving our personal opinions on certain things, you’ve got to be kind of careful about how you pitch it. We don’t always have to be blunt but we are always respectful in what we say and how we discuss (it), whether it’s a creative or different idea."
He adds, "It’s walking that fine line of maintaining a family relationship but also getting business done.”
The Band Perry continues working the road this Friday opening for Rascal Flatts in Wichita, KS.
