This is not your father's Gap ad. Oh, wait...maybe it is. George Harrison's son and Billy Joel's daughter have both recorded songs by their famous fathers for the retailer's new ad campaign. The concept, according to the Gap, is about how "going back to your roots helps define who you are."
As part of the "Back to Blue" campaign, Dhani Harrison -- who bears a striking resemblance to his old man -- is seen performing a version of "For You Blue," one of two songs by the elder Harrison that appeared on The Beatles' final album, 1970's Let It Be. Billy's daughter Alexa Rae Joel, meanwhile, sits at an electric piano singing his classic "Just the Way You Are." She sports Gap denim as well as a large black and gold ring, which actually belongs to her dad.
You can download the full versions of both tracks now on iTunes. All proceeds from Dhani's song will go to George Harrison’s Material World Foundation, whose current project is creating awareness for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and its mission to cure spinal cord injury.
