Justin Moore's new album, Off the Beaten Path, is now in stores featuring a very commanding photo of Justin on the cover. In the shot, Justin is walking towards the camera with a dramatic light shining behind him. It turns out, Justin had an ulterior motive for picking such a mysterious cover photo.
"I wanted to look tall," Justin tells ABC News Radio. "No, I wanted to do something a little different. Both of our first two album covers look pretty similar. I thought it was different, and it fit the vibe of the album."
Justin's latest hit, "Point at You," is racing up the country chart, and he'll support the new single and album with the Off the Beaten Path tour of arenas and amphitheaters for the rest of the year. In the past few years, Justin has been watching his concert crowds get bigger and bigger. He thinks this is the trek that will finally make the rest of the country music industry take notice.
Says Justin, "For whatever reason, we've always flown under the radar. I don't know why that is. Even though we've had two gold albums and a lot of hit records, we've never held one award or been nominated or been on the shows or none of that kind of stuff."
He adds, "I think we're gonna catch some people off guard with this tour. So, it's kind of cool to be the underdog."
In addition to "Point at You," Justin's album, Off the Beaten Path, features a duet with Miranda Lambert on the song "Old Habits," as well as a collaboration with Charlie Daniels called "For Some Ol' Redneck Reason."
