Jason Aldean has another huge hit on his hands with "Night Train," but he almost gave the song to another artist at one point. Jason and his band were producing a project for another act, and "Night Train" was one of the songs they were considering cutting for that album.
"It wasn't even really for me," Jason explains. "I just kind of started listening to it, and the artist I was working with wasn't really into the song. The more I listened to it, the more I kind of fell in love with it and wanted to cut it for my record."
"Night Train" went on to become the title of Jason's latest album and tour. The song also ranked high on a poll Jason and his team posted on his social media accounts to find out which songs from Night Train would go on to be hits.
He says, "'Night Train"'was one that everybody seemed to really like, and it was obviously one that I really liked too, which was why I had put it up there. So it kind of made sense to put it out there, and it's been incredible."
"Night Train" will be featured on Jason's new live DVD, Night Train to Georgia, due out October 15.
