Arcade Fire to Perform on "Saturday Night Live" Season Premiere, Release Interactive "Reflektor" Video

Merge Records/Anton CorbijnArcade Fire has scheduled the first television appearance in support of their upcoming fourth studio album, Reflektor.  The band is slated to be the musical guest for the season premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live on September 28. Former SNL cast member Tina Fey will serve as the host for the episode.

This isn’t the first time that Arcade Fire has appeared on the late-night sketch program. You may recall that the group was featured on the 2012 season finale, where they joined Foo Fighters to support legendary Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, who hosted and served as the musical guest for the episode.

In other Arcade Fire news, the band has just unveiled a video for their new single, "Reflektor." The interactive clip, which can be seen at, follows a young woman’s journey between two worlds. Thanks to some unique programming, the website allows users watching the video to manipulate some of the clip’s special effects with their mouse, phone, or tablet. If you allow the website to control the camera of your digital device, you will be able to see your reflection in the video as well.
