Goo Goo Dolls Set Intimate Acoustic Tour for April

Warner Bros. RecordsThis April, the Goo Goo Dolls will hit the road, but they're doing something a little different this time around. The band is launching an intimate acoustic tour called The Otis Midnight Sessions.

The concerts will be performed in a format similar to that of VH1's Storytellers. The band promises the set list will "dig deep" into their nearly-three-decade-old catalog. It will feature selections from their 2013 release, Magnetic, too.

The Otis Midnight Sessions tour will begin in Syracuse, New York, on April 7 and wind down approximately three weeks later in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The California-based band Run River North, who will release their self-titled debut album on February 25, will serve as the opening act on most dates.

The Goo Goo Dolls have a busy week ahead of them. As previously reported, they will perform at a couple of concerts in the New York City area in conjunction with the Super Bowl. They'll join Daughtry at The Super Bowl Kickoff Spectacular in Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 27, and will headline a VH1 concert on Staten Island, New York, on January 31.

The Super Bowl will be held in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on February 2.
