Performance by Madonna, Tribute to Phil Everly Added to Sunday's Grammy Telecast

The Recording AcademyIt was rumored, but now it's been confirmed: Madonna will be performing at this Sunday night's Grammy Awards

It's not clear what the Queen of Pop will be singing, since she currently doesn't have an album to promote, but the rumor was that she would sing with a current nominee.  That means her potential duet partners include Paul McCartneyDavid Bowie, Dionne Warwick, and ex-Staple Singers member Mavis Staples, among many others.  This is all conjecture, though.

In addition, the Grammy ceremony's In Memoriam segment will include a tribute to late Everly Brothers singer Phil Everly, who died earlier this month at age 74.  One of the participants will be Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, who last year joined forces with singer Norah Jones to record the Everly Brothers tribute album, Foreverly.

The Grammys airs live starting at 8 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
