Lorde Makes Triumphant Return to New Zealand Wed. Night; Brit Awards Performance Confirmed

Francis Specker/CBSIt's already Wednesday in Lorde's home country of New Zealand, and Wednesday night is when the newly-minted Grammy winner will make her triumphant return to the stage in front of a hometown crowd.

According to New Zealand's ONE News, the 17-year-old singer is set to headline a concert at Auckland's Silo Park Wednesday night in front of 10,000 fans.  The show is a make-good for a previously-scheduled festival appearance on January 27, which Lorde had to cancel so she could attend the Grammys.

Lorde's manager told ONE News that for the singer, it's "amazing being in L.A. at the center of all this, but it's really just about getting back to New Zealand."  She'll play five additional shows in Australia before heading to the U.S. to kick off a tour March 3.

Meanwhile, having taken home two trophies at the Grammys, Lorde will now appear at this year's Brit Awards, the British equivalent of the Grammys, which take place in London February 19.  Lorde, who's nominated for International Solo Artist at the ceremony, will collaborate with British electronic music duo Disclosure on the show.
