Last in Line, the new band featuring several ex-members of Dio, including Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, is planning on creating some new music in 2014. Campbell says the group -- which also features fellow Dio alumni Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain and Claude Schnell -- will soon be hitting the studio to record a number of new tracks.
"Happy new year to all," Vivian writes in a note on the band's Facebook page. "We're excited about playing more shows in 2014, but even more so, we're looking forward to writing and recording some new music, too. What, you didn't know that?"
Campbell apparently will have much of the year to work on the new cuts with Last in Line before he has to reunite with Def Leppard. Guitarist Phil Collen recently told Billboard that Def Leppard will be scheduling a "Viva Pyromania [residency] at some point at the end of " in Las Vegas, meaning the group will be performing its entire classic 1983 album, Pyromania, at the upcoming concerts.
