Courtesy of Kirk HammettKirk Hammett has announced that he'll be taking the stage to perform at his upcoming horror convention, Kirk Von Hammett's Fear FestEvil.

The Metallica guitarist recently revealed on Facebook that he'll be joining Exodus and Death Angel for their encores at the event, which takes place February 6-8 at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Hammett has a long history with both bands: He produced Death Angel's 1986 demo, Kill as One, and was a founding member of Exodus before replacing Dave Mustaine in Metallica in 1983.

As previously reported, the convention also will feature Hammett participating in panel discussions, autograph signings of exclusive toys and books, photo opportunities and private tours of the rocker's personal collection of horror memorabilia in Kirk’s Crypt.
