Heart's Ann & Nancy Wilson, Cat Stevens, Steve Miller, Steve Winwood & More Nominated for Songwriters Hall of Fame 

Legacy RecordingsThe Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced its 2015 "Performing Songwriters" nominees, and the list includes quite a few music legends.

Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson, Yusuf Islam, aka Cat Stevens, Steve Miller and Steve Winwood are among the prospective inductees, as are Cyndi Lauper, Harry Wayne Casey of K.C. and the Sunshine Band fame, Gloria Estefan and Tom Petty.

Members of the Hall of Fame have until December to vote on the final list, and the inductees will be honored during the 2015 Annual Awards Gala, which will be held in New York City June 18.

There are currently around 400 members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, including Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Phil Collins, and Bob Dylan.
