"The Voice" Recap: The Top 12 Revealed

Trae Patton/NBCFollowing two nights of live performances, The Voice revealed its top 12 on Wednesday night.

Three of five artists from each team were saved -- two through America's votes, and the other by his or her coach.

Team Blake Shelton got things started with a performance of "Life in a Northern Town," originally by The Dream Academy and later covered by Sugarland.

Host Carson Daly subsequently announced that Team Blake's Reagan James and Craig Wayne Boyd had received enough votes to remain in the competition. Blake chose to save Jessie Pitts. James David Carter and Taylor Brashears were eliminated.

Team Pharrell Williams was up next. They sang the Sam Smith tune "Money On My Mind." Luke Wade and DaNica Shirey advanced via the viewers' vote, while Pharrell saved Sugar Joans. Elyjuh Rene and Jean Kelley were dismissed.

Team Gwen Stefani delivered a rendition of Vance Joy's "Riptide" before learning their fate. Daly revealed that Taylor John Williams and Anita Antoinette had made it to the top 12. Gwen saved Ryan Sill, spelling the end for Bryana Salaz and Ricky Manning.

Team Adam Levine tackled the Nico & Vinz hit "Am I Wrong." Damien and Matt McAndrew were saved by America, and Adam held on to Chris Jamison. It was the end of the road for Mia Pfirrman and Taylor Phelan.

The top 12 will return to the stage next Monday night on NBC.
