Queen and Collaborator Adam Lambert Named Band of the Year at "Classic Rock" Roll of Honour Awards

Neal PrestonThe tenth annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards ceremony was held at the Avalon Ballroom in Hollywood Tuesday night.

Queen and collaborator Adam Lambert were named Band of the year, while Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey’s Going Back Home was named Album of the Year.

The annual awards event is sponsored by the U.K.-based Classic Rock magazine. It marked the first time the magazine's annual awards event was held in the United States.

Sammy Hagar hosted the event, which featured a performance by  King of Chaos, which includes three ex-Guns N' Roses members -- bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Gilby Clarke.

Hagar, ex-Deep Purple singer/bassist Glenn Hughes, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, and Def Leppard's Joe Elliott joined the band on stage.

California Breed, the latest project from Hughes, Rival Sons, and former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland and his new backing band, The Wildabouts, also performed.

Surviving Doors members Robby Krieger and John Densmore received the Inspiration Award on behalf of their former band.

Gregg Allman was presented with the Living Legend Award.

The Classic Rock Roll of Honour ceremony will air on AXS TV on a soon-to-be-announced date in December. Here's the complete list of winners:
