MAGIC! Talks Upcoming Tour with Maroon 5: Our Music Goes "Really Well Together"

Image Group LA When the Grammy nominations were announced last week, MAGIC!'s hit "Rude" was shut out, despite its huge popularity.  But the band has a couple of pretty good consolation prizes:  on December 31, they'll be performing live in New York City's Times Square as part of ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and in February, they'll hit the road as the opening act for Maroon 5's big tour.

"You can expect a fantastic performance from Maroon 5 because they're awesome," jokes MAGIC! frontman Nasri when asked what fans can expect from the tour.  "But you know we're going to do our best to get the crowd going and get them revved up for the guys."

Asked to describe their stage show, Nasri tells ABC News Radio, "Everybody will hear, like, about half our album. And we've been already kind of getting the rehearsals together. You'll see more of a light show with us -- [it'll be] a little more kicked up."

A lot of times, bands who are touring together won't actually meet until the day the tour kicks off, but Maroon 5 and MAGIC! has actually had a chance to hang out a bit.

Guitarist Mark Pelli tells ABC News Radio, "We actually played a show with them in Montreal and we met a bunch of the dudes -- we didn't meet the whole band -- but they were so nice. Our music went really well together so we're excited. We think it's going to be a good tour."

The tour kicks off February 16 in Dallas, Texas.
