Jerrod Niemann is officially off the market. He got engaged to long-time girlfriend, Morgan, late last year in New Orleans. So, what prompted Jerrod to pop the question?
He tells ABC News Radio, "No babies. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just good, old-fashioned love."
Jerrod describes his relationship with Morgan as reminiscent of New Orleans itself.
"It's a city that has a lot of culture and ain't scared to have a lot of fun," he says. "So, she has the culture. I have the fun. So, we kind of feel like New Orleans together."
Country fans are familiar with part of Jerrod and Morgan's love story, which has had its share of ups and downs over the years.
"She's the girl I wrote What Do You Want' about way back in the day," Jerrod says. They've both grown a lot in the past few years, and Jerrod is glad to share the secret to making love work.
He says, "I think you gotta, first of all, remember everybody has pasts. We've all made mistakes. If you can't get past somebody else's past or their mistakes, it's never gonna work."
Jerrod and Morgan plan to tie the knot sometime this year, though they haven't decided on an exact date just yet. In the meantime, Jerrod's new album, High Noon, is due out March 25. It features his latest hit, "Drink to That All Night."
