Madonna's most recent album, MDNA, came out in 2012, but the Queen of Pop has confirmed that another one is on the horizon.
The Vancouver Sun reports that during a visit to Toronto this week for the official opening of the latest branch of her Hard Candy Fitness club chain, Madonna told reporters, "Yes, plans are in the works already" for new music. She added, "Don't ask me with who, it's a secret, top secret." She did say, however, that she wouldn't mind working with Canadian rapper Drake.
Madonna's most recent collaboration was with Miley Cyrus; she duetted with the twerk-tastic singer on Cyrus' MTV Unplugged special.
Hard Candy Fitness has branches in Russia, Mexico, Australia, Chile, Italy and Germany, and features workouts based on Madonna's own personal routines, which often incorporate dance moves. "I have fun working out and I don't think working out should be boring. And I think dance is an important part of a workout," she told reporters. She led lucky contest winners in one of her signature workouts as part of the event.
The Toronto Star, meanwhile, reports that while she was on the red carpet, Madonna asked, "What am I doing here anyway? Didn't they try to arrest me here?" She was referring to an incident that happened during her 1990 Blond Ambition tour, when she was told that the Toronto police would stop her show and arrest her if she simulated a sex act during her performance of "Like a Virgin." She did anyway, and nothing happened.
"I'm not going to be [simulating sex acts] during my workout tonight," a grinning Madonna told reporters on the red carpet, "So I guess it's cool. Yeah, I think Toronto's finally learned to accept me."
