Ed Sheeran Unleashes Video Diary Explaining "What I've Been Up To" 

Cliff Lipson/CBSWanna know what Ed Sheeran's been doing for two-and-a-half years?  Just check out a new video tour diary he's posted, which he's titled "What I've Been Up To."

The video intercuts footage of Ed on stage at New York City's Madison Square Garden -- the final stop on his lengthy tour -- with footage of him backstage and in the studio. You'll see him rehearsing a duet with Taylor Swift before they take the stage, and working in the studio on new music.  Among the people who pop up:  Pharrell Williams, rapper the Game, legendary hip-hop producer and deejay DJ Premier, British rap duo Rizzle Kicks and super-producer Rick Rubin, who gives Ed's project a thumbs up.

"We started this tour two-and-a-half years ago playing to 175 people in Southhampton, [England]" Ed says at one point in the video, addressing fans from the stage. "And we're finishing off with three nights at Madison Square Garden...thank you so much, it's been a wonderful two-and-a-half years...I will see you soon."

Ed has yet to release details of his long-awaited second album, which is due this year.  He's announced tour dates for the U.K. and Ireland, but so far not for North America.
