Has Miley Cyrus turned off the parents of her fans by turning up the shock value on her just-launched Bangerz tour?
Australia’s MusicFIX blog claims Miley’s management has “been flooded with complaints” regarding the nature of her show, which debuted in Vancouver last Friday.
Its source says, “Her team, including management, record label execs and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers -- have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the U.S. threaten to pull out of the show.”
One parent reportedly reached out to Miley’s music label, Interscope, and complained that they walked out of a concert with their young child because it was like a “porn show.”
The blog also alleges that parents who bought tickets for future dates are trying to dump them on eBay.
Miley’s rep tells ABC News Radio there’s no truth to the report.
Miley’s concert does feature some racy content: a review of her tour-opening show by the Vancouver Sun states that there were images of sex toys, drug references, and, of course, twerking.
