Taylor Swift Duets on Stage with The Script's Danny O'Donoghue

ABC/Jon LeMayWhen Taylor Swift performs live, she always likes to invite a special guest up on stage with her, and she's hosted everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Sara Bareilles to music legend Carly Simon.  Her show in London at the O2 arena continued the trend: her special guest was the lead singer of a very popular Irish group.  And no, we're not talking about Bono from U2.

Taylor tweeted, "Tonight's surprise guest at the O2: Danny O'Donoghue from The Script singing 'Breakeven'. The crowd went absolutely insane!!"  That's born out by several fan-shot videos that have popped up online, which show the audience members screaming and singing along at the top of their lungs.

It's important to note that, while The Script is certainly popular in the U.K., Danny himself is a star in his own right because he was one of the original coaches on the U.K. edition of The Voice.  So his appearance was somewhat the equivalent of Taylor welcoming Adam Levine or Blake Shelton to the stage in the U.S.

So far, Taylor's shows in London have also featured surprise duets with Ed Sheeran and rising British star Sam Smith. Her final show in London is on February 11.

The Script will be on tour with OneRepublic this summer in the U.S.
