Mick Fleetwood's Solo Band Playing Two Concerts This Week, One to Be Webcast

Photo: Neal PrestonWhile Fleetwood Mac won't be getting back on the road with its classic Rumours-era lineup until a September 30 show in Minneapolis, at least one of the band's members is getting ready to hit the stage a lot sooner.  Drummer Mick Fleetwood will play a pair of shows with his solo group, The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, this Monday and Tuesday at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California.

Mick's group features guitarist Rick Vito, who was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1987 to 1991.  If you can't make it out to the concerts, you can watch a live stream of Tuesday's event at the official Facebook page of the famed drummer's restaurant in Lahaina, Hawaii, Fleetwood's on Front St.  The webcast begins at 8 p.m. PT that evening.

As of Friday afternoon, general admission tickets and VIP packages were still available for Tuesday's show, while only VIP tickets were available for Monday's concerts.

According to a recent Billboard article, Fleetwood Mac plans to begin rehearsing for its upcoming North American trek in late July.  The outing, which will be the band's first since singer/keyboardist Christine McVie rejoined the group, is mapped out through a December 20 concert in Tampa, Florida.  The group also is working on a new studio album, but no word when the record might be released.
